Welcome to Chiangrai

Hello, we meet again in the second day of my journey in SEAMEO program.

Continuing my previous post, when me and my friends were sleeping in Don Mueang airport, today, we will be separated to the destination city. Well, I was not sleeping at all from our arrival at 20:00 Bangkok time until almost 03:00. I was afraid if I slept, who will be take care of our luggage? So, I stay all night with having a video call with my closest friend in Indonesia. Until it was 3AM and one of my friend from Science Education have a flight schedule and take off to Suratthani in the South Thailand. Then, there was only the five of us who stay at the airport until our next flight schedule is come. 

In the morning, all of us were already hungry and we want to find halal food. We ask for the halal food in the information desk and they gave us the information where is the halal food restaurant in the airport. Then, the five of us went there.

This is the picture of us when we was searching the halal food restaurant. The name of the halal food restaurant is Magic Food Park and it was not really far from our sleeping place thought.

Well, not all food in the Magic Food Park are halal. There are also some food that is not halal. And we just choose the halal of course. All of us eat the same menu. We were eat Chicken Biryani from one of the store there. It cost 30 baht, but we got soup which was not included in the Chicken Biryani cost so we have to pay more. The total of the menu was 50 baht. However, not all of us have the same appetite. Some of my friends were can not finished their food because they still have a culture shock of the taste. Although chicken biryani is not the local food of Thailand but they has never been eat chicken biryani before. Who can finish the food were only me and Irhaz as the only boy here.

After all of us already eat, now it's time for us to check in and put our luggage to the baggage. Our next flight schedule to Chiangrai was at 12:50 Bangkok time in the gate 43. I was one seated with my friend, Halim, while Dwi also one seated with Irhaz. So, the four of us were seated together. We used Nok Air from Bangkok to Chiangrai.

Time flies, and it's almost 12:50. We have to go to the gate 43 as soon as possible and leave Yessy alone waiting for her next flight which it will be at 17:00. Once again, we separated with our friends and now just the four of us who stay together. The four students who will be at the same place, same city, same destination, Chiangrai.

Along the way to the gate 43, we found something very cute. All of the chairs there, are all pink. So, we take a photo of us first before the flight.

Bye bye, Bangkok. See you next time. See you a month later when we want to go home.

Finally, WELCOME TO CHIANGRAI.

After we arrived at the Chiangrai International Airport or Mae Fah Luang Airport, Miss Nok from the host university (Chiangrai Rajabhat University) has already pick us up in the airport with holding paper with SEAMEO sign. And then, all of us went to the Chiangrai Rajabhat University together by van. Along the way to the Chiangrai Rajabhat University, we look at the outside of the van and we found that Chiangrai is beautiful. Almost all of the view is still green with a lot of trees, rice flieds, and many more plants.

Until we arrive at Chiangrai Rajabhat University Inn which is not very far from the airport.

This is the view of my room in Chiangrai Rajabhat University Inn. There are two single beds, three tables, one mirror, one chair. The view from the room also still green and it's very beautiful and relaxing to see it.

This is the wardrobe and shoe rack. 

And this is the bathroom. All white and clean. After I finish my packing and take a pictures, I immediately went to take a bath because of it's already more than 24 hours since I take a bath in my house before going to Adisutjipto International Airport and take this journey.

I want to take a bath in the airport but it is not comfortable because a lot of people come and go to the toilet. So, I just take a bath in the inn. During take a bath, I do washing my clothes too.

In the middle of my bath, my partner room came and it was Citra Mashita from UNS.

After I finished my bath, then we introducing each other and she went to take a bath too. In the afternoon, I, Dwi, Irhaz, and the two new friends from Makasar (Richsan and Nur) went to the 7eleven near our inn. We do invited Citra but maybe she was still tired because of the trip.

We bought a lot of things from the 7eleven such as rice, spoon and fork, snacks, and instant noodles.

In the evening, all of the participants of SEAMEO in the Chiangrai Rajabhat University were already came one by one. And all of us have a dinner in the aisle of the hotel room.

We eat rice and abon. Almost all of us brought abon from Indonesia. So, we have an abon party.

It's already late and we have to take a rest because tomorrow we will be given orientation by the host university at 08:00 Chiangrai time.
