The activity starts at 08:00 o'clock in the morning with breakfast and then we went to the main room and having another game for the students. There were a lot of games by the teachers.
This above picture is the game by Teacher Hin. She used a snake and ladder game to check the students' ability in English by joining this game and when they feet on the odd number, they will got English questions from Teacher Hin and they have to answer it with English too. If they can not answer, they have to use powder in their own face. But if they can answer it correctly, they will using the powder to other student's face.

Another game from the foreign teachers. The game is about pronunciation. The students have to pronounce the English sentences correctly. If they can not do it, they have to push-up or dancing on the stage.

Finally, the last activity is lunch and we have to pack our belongings and go home.

SEAMEO day 6 (President CRU & English Camp 1)

Saturday, July 23rd 2016, today is the 7th day of my journey in Thailand, far away from home. Today's agenda is meeting the president of Chiangrai Rajabhat University. The host university pick us up at 8:30 in the morning. Inside the car, there were already the other participants of SEAMEO in Chiangrai. Then, we went to Chiangrai Rajabhat University and I feels like going back to home.

The president is very humble and wise. His pronunciation also very good such as native speaker and it's makes me easy to understand what he said. He also let us to see his room. It's very big and very comfortable and also tidy.
Then, when we went to the car to do the next activity, suddenly, Miss Nok running to the car and told us to hold Mr Teerawat first because today is his birthday.
And, we gave them a small birthday party with a cake and we also have a gifts for him that we already bought when we went to the Central Plaza a few days before.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MR TEERAWAT

After that, all of the participants and the host university went to the Mae Chan. It is a mountain. Along the way going to Mae Chan, the view outside the car is all green.
When we arrived on the Mae Chan mountain, suddenly, the CRPAO teachers approached Dwi, Halim, and I and told us to follow the English camp in Mae Chan mountain. At first, I thought we went to the Mae Chan to have a birthday party for Mr Teerawat but actually the host university just dropped us off to joining the English camp from our school.
When we arrived at the main room of the English camp, I saw many CRPAO students and all of them looks excited to meet us. As a full team, all of the participants of SEAMEO in Chiangrai Rajabhat University also greet the CRPAO students and introducing ourselves one by one.

And we took a photo together with all of the students in the English camp. Then, the other participants of SEAMEO and also the host university have to leave to place and go somewhere doing their next activity. As a teacher in CRPAO school, the three of us (Dwi, Halim, and me) have to stay here and sleep over here for one night. Yes, the school already told us about this and we already bring our belongings such as clothes to change, soap to bath, make up, and many things.
We have a lunch together with CRPAO students and teachers.

They have halal food for the three of us. We eat tom yum and beef with vegetables. The tom yum's taste is very delicious! I love it!
After have lunch, Teacher Taeng told me to follow Teacher Hin. Teacher Hin said that I have to be on duty to watch the station with her.

We were stayed at station three and it was about Treasure Hunt. Teacher Hin's idea is very great idea. She has already prepared pieces of paper and the paper is about treasure hunt itself.
Students must find the things from the nature with the shapes that has already determined.

This is the paper of nature shapes scavenger hunt.

And one by one group of students came to the station and doing the mission in every station. The above picture is the picture when the students were searching for the nature objects with shapes that has already determined in Teacher Hin and my station.
What a clever idea.

After all of the students have already done doing the mission and it was already 16:00 o'clock, it's mean that the game has already ended and we have to take a bath at our own room. I got room number 151 and the bed is big which is for two person. There were elephants pillow. They are very cute!

Dinner time was at 18:00 and after having a dinner, we went to the main room again to watch the next activity of the English camp. The next activity is singing competition, Miss and Mister competition, and Satellite.

The three of us asked to be the judges of the competition.

And we also have a chance to gave the prize for the winner.
Finally, it's already late and all of us have to sleep for tomorrow activity. Sleep well.

SEAMEO day 5

July 22nd 2016, today's agenda is that Dwi, Halim, and I should go to the CRPAO school at 7:30 because the driver of the school has already pick us up. Then, the three of us went to the school together by van. When we arrived at the school, a lot of teachers welcoming us. Then, we sat down in yesterday room near the library.
Not so long after that, the school's official told us to joining the Friday ceremony of the school. At first, I thought that we just join it by watching but the school's official asked us to introduce ourselves in front of the students. We were a bit shocked but very excited.
Then, it is time to us to introduce ourselves in front of them. The students also look excited to met us because at first almost all of them nodding their head because of the sun light but when we showed in front of them, they began to gave their attention to us. When we were introducing ourselves one by one, they gave applause to us. Actually, when they heard my name which is very long, they were a bit shock and their expressions was like "Oh my God, her name is so long". Unfortunately, I do not have the photo when we were joining the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the school's official told us to follow the teacher to her office and wait for another English teachers there.
Then, we go to the coffee shop in the school. All of us ordered latte.

After having a coffee as the breakfast, we split with our own mentor and began to observing the English class. My mentor is Ms Taeng and Ms Taeng told me to observed Mr Josh's and Mr Niel's class.

This is the picture of Mr Josh's class. At the beginning of the class, Mr Josh told me to stand up in the front of the class and introduce myself. Then, he asked the students to asked me all about me they wanted to know.
Then, after Mr Josh's class is done, Mr Niel came to his class and we introducing each other.
After that, Ms Taeng pick me up and asked me to join Mr Niel's class. In Mr Niel's class, he taught about many foreign languages in the world such as Spanish, French, Germany, and Japan. However, when the Japanese expressions come in the slide, Mr Niel asked me to pronounce it loudly. And when I speak up with my Japanese, all of the students shocked and applaused.

Because of that, every Japanese expressions come in the slide, he asked me to pronounce it and the students very excited to hear my Japanese. Until the end of the class, there were many girl students talked to me and asked me "Teacher, how many languages do you can?" and I answered "Indonesian of course, English, Javanese, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean" and they shocked "Wow, 6?!" and then the girl behind me said "Teacher daebak" (daebak means the best in Korean). Then I turn my body and asked her "Can you speak Korean too?" she answered "No. Just know a little."
Then, after all of the observation, Ms Taeng told us to go home.
Along the way back home, we bought halal food in the right side of the street for dinner.

SEAMEO day 4 (CRPAO)

Thursday, July 21st 2016, today's schedule is visiting our school, CRPAO school. At 09:38, the host university pick us up and we went to the CRPAO together.
Before entering the school, take a photo first of course. Lol

This are the pictures of us as the participants, the host university, and the school's officials.

After from the introduction with the school's official, the English teachers there took us to have a lunch with them. The food are very delicious. We eat a lot of foods, from chicken with lemon sauce, chicken with sweet and sour sauce, shrimp, salad, clams, tom yum, and many more.
After have lunch, we get back to the school and the English teachers told us about CRPAO. They took us around the CRPAO from building, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
The fourth building is the only building for kindergarten until elemntary while the other building is for junior high school until senior high school.
In the afternoon, around 17:00, all of the participants of SEAMEO in Chiangrai Rajabhat University reunited. We want to go to Central Plaza to find a birthday gifts for Mr Teerawat who will have his birthday this Saturday.

Well, we are took much time to found the birthday gifts for him until it was 21:10. Almost all of the store has already close and we went home by taxi. The driver of the taxi can not English at all. And the situation where I should use my Thai is happen again. Lol.

SEAMEO day 3 (Move!!)

This is the third day of SEAMEO program and it is the last day for the participants stay in the Chiangrai Rajabhat University Inn. The host of university, Mr Teerawat and Miss Nok, told us yesterday that we have to packing our belongings and move to our new dormitory which all of us have different places. We move to the dormitory which is near with our school to make us easier to teach. Dwi, Halim, and I have to move to the dormitory near CRPAO which is stands for Chiang Rai Provincial Administrative Organization school. Irhaz and Richsan have to move to the dormitory which is near Damrong school. Citra, Hani, Elma, and Tari have to move to the dormitory near Municipal 6 school, while Nur and Desi have to move to the nearest dormitory with their school to teach which is pre-school. All of us were moved today except Desi and Nur, they already moved yesterday.

This is the photo when we are moving one by one. It is the dormitory of Citra, Hani, Elma, and Tari.

And this is the photo of Dwi, Halim, and I move to our new dorm.

This is my new room. From the outside of the dormitory, it looks a bit small but when we went to the inside, it's big and the room is so clean and luxury. There is an air conditioner, fan, balcony, bathroom inside, wardrobe, shoe rack, big bed with beautiful color, and many more. I love my new room.
After the host university went to accompany the participants to move to their dorm, I tidy up my belongings into my new room.
In the afternoon, around 16:00 Chiangrai time, Dwi, Halim, and I feel hungry and want to eat some food around our new dormitory because our dormitory is near with Muslim community so it is not difficult for us find halal food. Finally, we found a restaurant with the owner is using a hijab. Of course, she is Muslim and the food is halal, right? So, we directly went to the restaurant.

We ordered khaopad which has the meaning fried rice. The way of I ordered it, is something unusual because I ordered it with using Thai language. Why I use Thai language rather than use English? Because the owner of the restaurant can not English at all. Fortunately, I already learned Thai language before I go to find food. Just in case there will be a situation where the food owner can not English, and it is true!
I memorized the expressions of asking the price, numbers, and anything that will I use when I want to buy something.

This is a picture of the dictionary given by the host university when we were in orientation.
After all of us already full, we went to find the nearest 7eleven. Well, it was not really near, it's a bit far, but it is good for our health. We walked along the way from the dormitory to the restaurant and then walked again to 7eleven. A lot of dogs here. The dogs were barking at us. My friends, Dwi and Halim, they are afraid of dogs. So, they hold my hand tightly.

Finally, we found the nearest 7eleven. It is besides the main road of the city.

And we got our way back home. Thank, God, to given the opportunity for us to remember the way back home. Lol

SEAMEO day 2 (White Temple & Singha Park)

Today is July 19th 2016 which is the second day in SEAMEO. Today, we also have an orientation from the host university. Today, we went to White Temple or Wat Rong Khun and to Singha Park.
This is the picture of us before went to the destination places in front of the meeting building.

This is White Temple or Wat Rong Khun. As far as the eyes can see, all of the color in the White Temple area is white and green (the plants). It is so relaxing to see it.

Sawadee kha
Guess what, what building is in behind me? Is it the main building? Wrong. It is a toilet.
A golden toilet. Only a toilet but it is very luxury. Two thumbs up!

Time flies. As it is getting more evening so we went to the next destination which it is Singha Park.

This is the iconic symbol of Singha park, lion. During in Singha park, the weather is so cold because of the strong wind and rainny seasons.

Not only the statue of lion but there is also a flower garden which is very gorgeous and stunning.

And this is the last agenda, we have a dinner not far from the Singha Park. We eat many menu such as tom yum, shrimp, duck, chicken wonton, som tum, and many more.
