Welcome to Bangkok

My name is Rr. Putri Intan Permata Sari and I am one of student of English Language Education Department in Islamic University of Indonesia. Today is Saturday and it is the 16th day of July in 2016. I have to go to Thailand in the evening with having a transit in Jakarta first. I rode Batik Air with flight number ID-6369 at 09:45 WIB from Adisutjipto Yogyakarta International Airport and will landing at Jakarta on the Soekarno Hatta International Airport at 11:00 WIB. The reason why I go to Thailand is not for travelling but I join the SEAMEO program which is stands for Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization. In this program, the five of my friends and I will go to Thailand but not all of us will be at one university there. I, my friend Dwi, and Halim, and also Irhaz who is also from my university but different major (he is from Islamic Education Department), the four of us will be stay at Chiangrai Rajabhat University in the North Thailand. Dhita and Dian will be stay at Ayutthaya, and Yessy will be stay at Suratthani in South Thailand. From other department students also joining this program and all of them will be separated during in Thailand. This SEAMEO program is a program for exchange students and in the program, we will teach as a teacher in Thailand for a month because our major is in Education. All about teaching.

This is the picture before we check-in in the Adisutjipto International Airport. The lady in the middle with the purple veil or hijab is one of my lecturer from English Language Education Department in Islamic University of Indonesia. Her name is Ms Ista and she is like a mother for her students.

This is a picture of me and my friends, Dwi, who also will have the same flight and the same university with me during in Thailand for a month.

Our next flight is Air Asia with flight number QZ-252 at 16:30 WIB until 20:00 WIB time which has the same time with Bangkok time. During the time for the next flight, my friends and I was searching for food to eat so that we can charge our energy for the next flight to Bangkok. 

This is the picture of all of us from Islamic University of Indonesia students who joining SEAMEO program. The total of us is 11 students, 6 from English Education, 3 from Islamic Education, and the rest is from Science Education. This is the last photo session in Jakarta before all of us will have a take off to Bangkok.

Finally, WELCOME TO THAILAND. WELCOME TO BANGKOK. We arrive at Don Mueang Internatonal Airport on 20:00 Bangkok time. After we have a landing, we take our luggage from the baggage claim and we go to the immigration check. After that, when we want to go to the outside of the airport, some of us have already pick up by the host university and we separate with them. The rest of us who will take another flight to our own destination city have to stay at the airport. Actually, at first we want to book a hotel but it will cost much money and then we decided to stay at the airport until the next flight which is tomorrow.

At Don Mueang International Airport, especially for Muslim like us, we have no worries because there is a place for us to have a pray. And there is also a place for us to have wudu there. The above picture is the picture of the wudu sign near the prayer room.

All of us are already tired and we have to take a sleep first before continuing our flight tomorrow. This is the picture of us sleeping in the airport. Well, it's already late, have a sweet dream guys and we will continuing our journey tomorrow. See you tomorrow. A great journey is waiting for us.
