SEAMEO day 20 (Sightseeing part 2 with CRPAO School, Lost, Security)

Saturday, 6th August 2016.

Today's schedule is that we have a sightseeing with CRPAO school just what we did in the previous Saturday. Last week, we went to Mae Sai (the border or Thailand and Myanmar), Mae Fah Luang University, and Blue Temple. This week or this Saturday, we went to Buddha Meditation Centre (well, I don't know it exact name), White Temple, White Big Buddha Statue (I don't know what its name), another temple in the city, and Night Market.

In the Buddha Meditation Centre, we took a photo because the view is very amazing.

After from the Buddha Meditation Centre, we went to White Temple. Actually, it is my second time visit White Temple because I ever went to White Temple with the host of university (Chiangrai Rajabhat University) in my fourth day in Thailand (third day in Chiangrai).

 

These are the photos of us in White Temple with my mentor. Her name is Miss Chitlada but we called her Ku Tang. In White Temple, other than just taking a photos in every corner, we also have lunch with the mentors. I ate Khao Soi with two pieces of Chicken thighs.

After from White Temple, we went to the Big Buddha Statue and the above pictures are the photos.

And these are the photos in another temple near the Night Market. I don't know what its name. At first, we though that it is a Black Temple but the mentor said it is not Black Temple. Black Temple is near Mae Fah Luang University while this temple is in the downtown. 

After visited this temple, we went to Night Market. The same market with the last week market. Actually, its name is not Night Bazaar, just another night market in Chiangrai. Night Bazaar is the bazaar with expensive price of things, while this market is cheaper. Much cheaper. I bought many things from the night market such as shoes, souvenirs for family and friends in Indonesia, clothes, key chains, and many more.

Then, when we want to go home, there is no transportation at all. There is no taxi, no tuk tuk, no songthaew, and any other. We already wait for so long, but no one. So, we have a walk to left, right, left, right. Actually, it is a main street. It is a big road but there are just some cars passing by. Then, we met Police Office and we asked a help to the security there to call a taxi and take us home. 

The security can not English at all and we just use gesture to have a conversation with him. Fortunately, I can understand Thai language a little so sometimes we use Thai when introducing each other, and we also use Thai when we talk about number. Not so long after that, around 20 minutes later, the taxi is came and we thanks to the security and went home by the taxi.

SEAMEO day 19 (Where are they?)

Friday, 5th August 2016.
Actually, today I got 2 classes as my last classes during my teaching practice in CRPAO school, in Chiangrai Thailand. But when I got there, there was no students and my mentor also confuse and keep saying "Where are they?".
And then, there were 4 teachers from other classes and said "I have no students in my class! Where are they?". And my mentor have a conversation with them and when they opened their gadget, there was a message that told about the students of M4 (1st grade of Senior High School students) are all going to have a camp.
And all of us a bit shock and have an expression like "So there is no class for today?"

Because of all of the M4 students are having a camp, so, my last teaching practice was yesterday and I got 7 teaching in total.

Oh yeah I forgot to tell you. In the morning, the host of university came to visit us and evaluate our teaching practice. Because of I have no class for M4 students (I am a teacher for M4 students), so they can not evaluate my teaching, And my friend, Dwi, who still have 1 class and her students are from M1 (1st grade of Junior High School) which not have a schedule for camp, so the host if university evaluate her teaching practice.

SEAMEO day 18 (Teaching 7)

Thursday, 4th August 2016.

In the morning, my mentor contacted me via LINE and said that I have teaching schedule for today with using my third lesson plan which is about WH questions at 9:20am for class 4/3 on 643 room. I prepared everything for my teaching and I directly made the worksheet for the students by write it by myself on HVS paper and copy it out for 50 pages.
I copied it in CRPAO school's photocopy which every 2 pages of paper cost only 1 baht. So, I copied 50 pages and it cost 25 baht.
Fortunately, although my teaching for today is a bit all of a sudden and unexpectedly, but I can handle my class. I can handle it all from the beginning (from the preparation of the worksheet and everything).
Thanks, God, for helping me today.
In the afternoon, my mom and I ate at Saleema Muslim Food restaurant after all of my schedule is done.

SEAMEO day 17 (Walk around the city)

On the 3rd of August 2016, I have no teaching practice for today just observing some classes of some teachers. My shcedule was finished at 11am and I got permission and went to some places with my mom.

We went by taxi and went to the nearest Muslim restaurant near Darunaman Mosque and have lunch there. We ate Khao Soi. Well, I want to introduce Khao Soi to my mom so that she can make by herself and I still can eat Khao Soi when we go back to our hometown in Indonesia. 5555+

After that, we walk to Clock Tower and take a photo there. Fortunately, there was a tuktuk and we went to Central Plaza by tuktuk. We were not buy anything, we just walk around and refreshing our mind, refreshing our eyes too.

SEAMEO day 16 (Teaching 6)

Tuesday, 2nd of August 2016.

Today I have schedule of my 6th teaching. It's still about present simple.

My schedule finish at 1pm and I directly went home because today my mother come to see me in Chiangrai.

When I'm home, my mom is already there. The host university who took my mom to my room.

She arrived at Chiangrai International Airport at 10:25am and the host university directly take her to my dormitory. 

I'm very happy to see my mom here in Thailand to accompany me and to support me.

Love you mom.

In the evening, both of us went to the nearest 7eleven to buy some food for eat for few days later from today.

SEAMEO day 15 (Teaching 4 & 5)

Monday, 1st August 2016, today is my 4th and 5th teaching in CRPAO school. I have to use my second lesson plan which is about present simple.

From morning, I have to observed some classes and then I have to teach at 11:50am until 14:20pm.

I have a chance to teach the best class. And they are very active.

The above picture is a photo when they do the worksheet about fill in the blank of present simple tense.

And this is a picture of us with one of the Muslim student in CRPAO school. Her name is Leena. Every time she met us, she always make a salam with us. Today, I asked her to take a photo together with us and she feel very happy after that like a fan who meet her idol. LOL

SEAMEO day 14 (Meet up Indonesian)

Sunday, 31 July 2016, today we have schedule to meet up with Indonesian people who study at Mae Fah Luang University. We make the appointment at 10am. We went by taxi.

We have lunch near Darunaman Mosque. We eat Khao Soi. Khao Soi is North Thailand noodle. It is very delicious.

After having lunch, we went to BigC to shopping our needs in few days later by songthaew.
